How much did that SG junior set you back? Were they ever made in left handed?
Left handed, I don't know. They probably were, but I haven't seen one. This one I found needed to be restored and had it's paint removed and a lot of battle scarrs. I paid 500GBP for her and put another 100 or so in on ...

That's a good question. I can see it being fragile. The neck is super skinny. They were originally marketed by Gibson as a "Student" model. So, they were primarily for people with small hands. It's a shredder neck for me though and I have large hands

Randall has some neat new amps with those modules. I know an amp builder who is experimenting with a bunch of those modules. I believe that amp is a MT100. It's sorta like modelling in tube technology without going digital.

how about mahogany neck and oak fretboard ? :)
I've never seen an oak fretboard, but it might be interesting. Oak should be close to the resonance you get from maple. Mahogany would be warm sounding as used with a Les Paul. It would be an interesting combination to say the least. :D I believe as ...
