Building a whitey

Postby Shane » Thu May 29, 2008 8:42 pm

Just wanted to say hi to everyone.I'm new here! I am in the process of building a whitey. I ordered the body from Musikraft. I have the neck and everything else bought. I just have to wait on the body to arrive. I will post pics as soon as it's done.

It will be more or less somewhat like his. I did order a ebony fretboard instead of rosewood. I own a music store and have access to pretty much anything I need. I am a fat tone pickup dealer so I am gonna use those instead. It will look just like his but not be exact.

They build the Jake body.Warmoth does not. I have no idea about the others. The staff at Musikraft is top notch too. Hope this doesn't sound like spam because that is not the intent.

TRY MOJO BODIES.COM
I think they could make a Jake e lee body like the blue or purple one.
I am think of having them making me one the only problem is that you will have to send it out to get painted.

Squier guitar bodies are usually made of Poplar.

I built several Strats out of various parts and MM just seems like they are poor quality..All Parts or Warmoth seem pretty solid to me...Most strat bodies are Ash,Alder, the cheaper ones go poplar ,basswood or even plywood...Tell us more about Musikraft hows the quality. I'm new here also!Hope to talk to all at some time or another..I added a pic of the last one I built.
