Didn't Cleopatra do something similar with George Lynch a year or so ago???

Yes the Lost Lynch Anthology and it was horrendous. Some old X-Citer stuff and some decent unreleased Dokken and Lynch Mob tunes. It's possible the Jake CD has some covers and maybe some unreleased material of sorts. I am definitely interested.

As I look at the Releases page from the Cleopatra site, virtually everything from them is either tributes, anthologies, or old concerts.

That last little shred of hope that the release from Jake would be new material is officially gone in my mind.

Well, if it is a cover Tribute album...'well it's gonna be another zesty clever music twist da Oge/JAKE E. LEE style: and I surely want to buy it when it's release Sept. 16th, 2008! I found out about it/the new Jake E. Lee album "Runnin' With the Devil" when ventureing into the BESTBUY.com Website...'they have everything. So, it's really cool and can't wait. Peace! 8)

Shadow, have you not tired of Jake doing tributes yet? I sure have.
He needs to get on with it and bust out his own new tunes.
I just can't get excited about this or his Enuff Znuff gig.
Glad to see he's still playing but, he needs to get a band together. A badass band ...

I can certainly agree with you on the Enuff Znuff gig, i dont understand how a second rate band like them can get Jake E Lee on guitar.

Between this thread and the thread about Jake selling guitars, it saddens me somewhat that he has never gone the Paul Gilbert or Marty Friedman route by creating a strong presence in Japan.

He could be doing albums, tours, clinics, instructional DVDs.

I guess that's just not him, which is fine, but I'd love to see Jake making good money from people who would fall all over anything he'd release.

I look at those other guys I mentioned and they seem to be having a good time, doing projects they like and giving it to an extremely receptive audience in Japan (which then trickles our way here in North America.)

that would be pretty cool actually.

he would have all the creative input and wouldn't need
to sell out to the industry :)

Latest search brought up Runnin' With The Devil as being a 12" single available next month. It's on Amazon for pre-order. $16.98 for a single?!? No, no, no ... wait. Make that "$16.98 for a cover single?!?".
Judging by the packaging, Cleopatra certainly doesn't realize Jake "E" Lee is not Jake "E." Lee.
Damn. Jake needs me as his marketing rep.

Where did you get that info? I only find that track list being the list for Guitar Warrior. Here's where I found it.
