Did anybody else know Soulfinger from 'A Fine Pink Mist' was actually a remake?

I made the connection one day listening to "Soultown", the classic R&B station on Sirius/XM.

Here's the original:

Here's Jake's version:

As always Jake put's his own magical touch to the song.

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts. Things are a little slow around here
I heard 'Purple Haze' on the radio and ...... it made the hairs on the back of my neck stood up

Oh, wow I had "A Fine Pink Mist" by Jake E. Lee for quite some yrs and never made the connection with the "Soulfinger" song yet I did know that one of the songs from this highly acclaimed debut Solo album was focus on one of JAKE's favorite Classic tune which was "Soulfinger" but I had no ideal that the far-out Soul Classic band The BAR-KAY's origionally put out. The Bar-Kay's are a very tripping Soul band and one of my personal favorite Classic song's from them is called "Dancing on the Floor Freak Show" something like that, love that song! How cool both of the Rebel guitarist Jake E. Lee to pay homage Tribute to the groovin' Bar-Kay's ..'both versions of "Soulfinger" is absolutely dominate! And very different from each other for one is Jazzy/Soulful & the other Sci-Fi/Spacey Galactic yet both are quite "heqvy" & "potent" in their delivery...'passionate all the way! :o 8O 8)
