Jake doing e new album on the 2012 ???

Postby Aga-Ta » Thu Dec 29, 2011 4:09 am

EddieTrunk on twitter:

"Hearing some very preliminary discussions about Jake E Lee possibly doing a new album in 2012. Still very early, will keep you posted."

Rumor or fact :?:

Would love to see him do something original with the lineup he used on Retraced. Or maybe get Greg Chaison back in the field as well.

I would have loved to see him do an album with warren demartini while RATT was on hiatus.....they talked about wanting to do one in the early 90's but sadly it has never happened, now would have be the perfect time I reckon

If Jake paired up with Warren Di Martini on an album, that would be awesome.

Warren Di Martini is a guitarist and Jake is a splendid lead and rhythm guitarist, so i think not

I would be super happy if he did anything. 'Retraced' was really good IMHO.

I love all of Warren's stuff. I even dug the newest Ratt release with Carlos Cavazo on board, but I seen Warren as the guest guitarist on That Metal Show and he is fried. His playing was horrible as well. I could not believe it.

His playing on infestation is anything but fried or horrible so I think you're being a bit unfair.....I have seen a few guys on that metal show that sound awful (lynch, paul gilbert)...I think most of them just go in there not warmed up and with no plan on what to play so tend to sound shite

Oh no, as I said. I dug Infestation. I like the fact they brought in Carlos as well. Infestation is some of the best work I have heard from Ratt in quite some time. Yeah, Lynch sounded horrible on there. Lynch also has sounded horible in some more recent videos I have seen of him. Although I did see a clip of him doing this Shadowtrain project and it sounded fesh. On the most recent, That Metal Show they had John 5 and that guy just blew my mind. I'm not totally into shredding all over the place, but I like it in small doses. Would be nice to see Jake doing some raw stuff again. I have never seen him live in person, but have in video. I loved the way him and Greg Chaison played together.

I think Warren just had a bad day on TMS, he really did not seem himself, almost like he was nervous for some reason. He is a great player, I have always enjoyed his work with Ratt. To me, he always reminded me more of George Lynch than Jake, even though he roomed with Jake and learned from him. Lynch's tone was crap when he was on TMS, the two guys that really impressed me on there were Doug Aldrich and Vinnie Moore, I thought Paul Gilbert and Tony Mac were good also. Ritchie Kotzen, who I thought would just burn it up on there kinda let me down also.

All that being said, TMS is kind of a different environment than what some players would be used to, a guy like Doug Aldrich, who does alot of clinics and pr work for Marshall, would probably feel more comfortable there than someone like Warren who doesn't do alot of that kind of stuff. Just my 2 cents worth  , all those guys are just fabulous players.

I hope it's an instrumental album like the first but with musicians.
But in this case that has this line up:
Jake E. Lee: all guitars
Tim Commerford or Mike Inez: bass
Ray Luzier: drums
Zac Baird: keyboards

The bet line up for Jake, ever...

Jake still has plenty of power and thus needs young musicians.
