bark at the moon solo help

Postby Lethal_Ibanez » Fri Jun 16, 2006 12:07 pm

does anyone know the correct sequence, preferably the tab, of jakes bark solo/

the part im looking to get down seems to be different in every tab i look at, even my book has a different way then the tab sites online.

anyway its around the 92nd bar, and is prolly halfway into the solo, where jake starts his little run right before the tremolo picking part at the end of solo 1 in the song.

starts of on the low e strings

-------------5----5--8--5--8
6--5--6--8---6--8----

etc.etc.

anyone know the correct way to play that part/

also the concert from 84 with jake playing it, of course the damn camera zooms onto ozzy right when the run starts, i hate that crap...is there is a guitar solo in a song and your making a video, at least show the guy playing it..not the lead singer bouncing around

:( Well, what I play for that run is Phrygian (is that how you spell it?) in the key of D (low E string) and then change key for the second run in E... Maybe if I can somehow record myself, it would be better. Sorry I can't help anymore.

I doesn't surprise me at all. Every tab shows a different way of playing something. I suggest 'Guitar for the practicing musician' tabs. The very best.

If it's any help, I play it as follows. It's all in D minor. No-one's complained so far... :-)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------8-
------------------------------------------------------7-9-7-9-10---
---------------------------------7----7-8-10-8-10-----------------
------------5----5-7-8-7-8-10---10-------------------------------
--6-5-6-8----8-----------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------8-10--
---------------------------------------------7-----7-9-10-9-10--------
-------------------------------7-8-7-8-10----10-----------------------
---------5-7-5-7-8-10-8-10-------------------------------------------
--8-6-8-----------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------8----10-12-
--------------------------------------------------------8-10-8-10-11---11--------
-----------------------------------------7-9-10-9-10------------------------------
--------------------------7-----7-8-10---------------------------------------------
------------7-8-7-8-10----10------------------------------------------------------
--10-8-10--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope this helps.

Right then, I've got it sussed now.

Arrange where you play these notes how you like, but play them in this order. Playing on the 10th fret works for me though.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------7-9-7-9-10-12-
----------------------------------7----7-8-10-8-10--------------------
------------5---5-7-8-7-8-10---10------------------------------------
--6-5-6-8---8-----------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------8-10-
---------------------------------------------------7-----7-9-10-9-10--------
------------------------------------7-8-7-8-10----10------------------------
--------------7----7-8-10-8-10----------------------------------------------
--8-6-8-10---10--------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------8-10-
--------------------------------------------------------------8----8-10-11-10-11-------
-------------------------------------------7-9-10-7-9-10---10--------------------------
----------------------------7----7-8-10---------------------------------------------------
-------------7-8-7-8-10---10------------------------------------------------------------
--10-8-10---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It hasn't taken me 15 months to work out, honest!!!!

Oh, and I think I learnt that guys version from the video first (in an Ozzy book?) and it just didn't sound right, then got another book, which is the same as Hashima's tab up there
