I have a mahogany superstrat guitar, but it has a thick maple cap which takes the edge of it slightly, so it leans towards sounding more like a Les Paul, rather than a solid mahogany guitar like an SG.

I don't have a SEJ-250, but my USA Custom Strat is 2 piece Honduran Mahogany. I knew it would sound pretty dark, so I offset the tone with a flamed Maple top and a Maple neck. This combination of woods really creates a unique tone. The darkness of a Les Paul, with the brightness of a Strat. I have Jake's pickup combo with 7-way pickup selection, so the guitar is very versatile in terms of tones.

Much different. This guitar has the sweetest full tone I have ever heard from a strat with a pick gaurd. When I switch to the neck single it gets brighter but the neck position kills, real beefy. I get tones out of it that I just couldnt get anywhere else.
