Concerts that are non-metal or non-rock

Postby mrmetal » Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:08 am

I rarely go to shows of bands that fall outside of the metal, hard rock, or rock genre.

This year, I am planning to attend a concert of one of my personal (and the world's really) favorite singers and songwriters, Cyndi Lauper.

I was curious as to what band, singer, etc would other forum members go see live that isn't what you would call "metal" or "rock".

if you can, you need to experience "ALter Bridge." Live, or on CD.

myles kennedy, the singer flat out rocks, and he plays a mean guitar.

added to that, the rest of the guys (including marc tremonti) from creed.

"myles kennedy is the young upstart who takes the mic from mark walbergh in the movie "ROCK STAR."

really good band. refreshing in the latest round of CRAAAAAAP from the music industry.

The thread was for "non-rock" bands, most of here are well aware of Alterbridge.

Thanks for the correction. I am not a fan of mainstream rock and really don't care for Alter Bridge. Nevertheless, they are still a rock band.

The thread as I started was asking about bands that were non-rock in nature and what forum members had seen. You can choose to participate or not. I could care less.

BTW, while i am here, what EXACTLY is your problem??

perhaps, if you were to answer like an adult, i could adress you like an adult.

erstwhile, talking to you like a child is getting rather old, and i may just begin to insult you. :)

Actually that is a valid post considering that most " real music " fans wouldnt consider Alter Bridge rock n roll. They are worse than Creed and that is almost impossible to pull off. Very boring live act as well .

This is the only talk forum I participate in, so I am not sure what you are talking about.

mrmetal. surely i don't need to point out that you were condescending me in both forums now... but i digress.

i am an intelligent person, and i am in command of what i say. i surely won't let someone like you instantly BARK, and i'll retract my lifelong thoughts. i welcome any different opinion that comes, but i REFUSE to allow you to shout me down. nor, use my level of membership against me, or anything else you've tried.

it's time to admit you've MET YOUR MATCH, or (gasp) ignore what i say.

i surely intend to ignore you as best as possible going forward.

i can't imagine why people like you enjoy how you act/what you do.

if you've met me face to face, there's NO WAY that you'd act like this.

i guaranntee you.
