joe holmes
does anyone have any info on joe holmes' current status? is there any info on his retreat from the business?
Re: joe holmes
The last thing I heard on Joe was that he was in the process of completing a solo record, I think I saw that at maybe the metro-amps or rig-talk forum (I can't remember which) and that has been quite a while back. You might check at ultimaterhoads.com and see if anyone has any current info on Joe (although I haven't seen any there lately).
Joe is alot like Jake in that he is a very under-rated and excellent player who seems to show up for just a little bit and then go back into hiding. Really a shame to (for both of them) as rock music could really use guys that know how to play and present it (esp. Jake) right now.

Not sure what he is up to but he co-wrote the best songs on "Down To Earth" (Facing Hell, Junkie, and That I Never Had). Maybe he should have stuck around for the rest of the album.

He did the Ozzmosis tour but apparently he and Sharon just did not get along well at all. Great player, not the best stage presence but just huge live guitar tone and great chops, as I recall he was a student of Randy Rhoads, a fact he did not mention to the Osbournes until after he got the gig.

That is correct sir!!! I have to agree with the stage prescence point as well. There is a whole concert on Youtube with Joe and he basically stands in one spot with his face obscured by hair. Quite bizarre actually but what a talent. He got some wicked beefy tone out of those Fenders.

That cd was Ozzy's best since No More Tears!
But as I said Joe played all the studio tracks on Lizzy Borden Visual Lies which was great!
