Wok n Woll Cwazy Night!

Postby mrmetal » Tue May 31, 2011 8:28 am

Oh boy! I caught Loudness in downtown H-Town (Houston, TX) Sunday night this memorial day weekend. What a treat that was. The last time I saw Loundess I was 17 in 1985 and they were touring on the Thunder in the East album. It was a blast!

MINORU NIIHARA came out on stage looking like Blade from the Puppet Master movies, while AKIRA TAKASAKI showed-off his amazing lead skills. They played several favorites like Crazy Nights, Let it Go, Heavy Chains, and Never Change Your Mind.

I found this clip on You Tube from Sunday's show of his solo. Thought you guys might enjoy!

Thanks for sharing!

I saw them open for Malmsteen in the mid 80's. They were very good.

Speaking of Malmsteen ... I know we're not supposed to speak disparaging of others here but, we all know Malmsteen's ego is huuuuuge. Which makes for a pretty darn funny parody. http://www.yourdailymedia.com/video/watch/4647/

Yes it will. I saw them about three years ago when they were making rounds. I will definitely see them again.

Wow, that was nice of you to share with us Mr. Metal and I'm thrilled to hear that you were able to see this Pioneer legendary band LOUDNESS: their are trailblazers to the heavious max!! Nice to see them still in action trailblazer around the World and I'm sure their carry the Spirit of their Drummer with them everytime they hit that stage and off, too. AKIRA is an amazing Virturoso-Musician in the highest ranks and their Lead Frontman-Vocalist NIIHARA what an Voice! LOUDNESS kicks mega-loud and are outtasight Masters in the Music field. Much respects! Once again, glad to hear you finally saw one of your favorite bands hit the Stage in the USA, again! 8) peace.
