Congrats to the Italians! It's a good thing they didn't burn down Rome in celebration last night. Things looked like it was getting rowdy on CNN! :-)

Yeah, they looked pretty boisterous over there but I can't blame them-I felt the same way after the Steelers won the Super Bowl. :P

I even watched the game and saw Zidane head butt that guy. Ouch!

apparently ... according to swedish news anyway ...
Materazzii called Zidane various things such as terrorist
(Zidane is of islamic religion and has algeric background.)

Materazzi also said something about Zidanes mother
who's very ill and he called Zidanes sister a whore.

Why did he aim a few inches higher ?!

Athletes that overreact like that don't deserve to win, especially the world famous captain of of the French national team.

By contrast, Italy's captain Cannavaro stood at midfield with his arms crossed, cool as ice while his teammates pumped in all 5 penalty kicks. I hope Zidane got a good look from his locker room. That's the way a team captain is supposed to behave.

Did the french make offensive remarks on Cannavaros
background, family or religious beliefs ?
