Black Label Society -VS- Pantera

Yeah, I know, Pantera came before BLS... Without Dime, there wouldn't be BLS. So what band to your most liking? :o
"Hahaha, you don't see rockstars with straight A's in high school and such," says johnthebrucelee. "Actually, that only goes to show that playin' guitar ain't rocket science," Deansolo remarked. ;)

Pantera, simply because I am not a fan of Zakk Wylde and I am a fan of The Dime. Both bands have their qualities but guitarist wise, theres not many guys like the dime.

I don't consider myself a fan of either, so I'll pass on this one.

Both bands have talent for sure, so I'm not denying that.

Yeah, don't forget he was a huge EVH fan as well ;)

Anyway ... I voted Dime too. I love'em both
but I feel that Dime could be a little more versatile.

Dimebag was one of the last guitar heroes to come along. Panetera was amazing. They were pretty good at not always sounding the same even though they stuck to 1 genre

Dime had an amazing sense for heavy metal rhythm playing, but his leads also had a lot of feel, and certainly fit into the songs. Amazing artificial harmonics also.
I heard 'Purple Haze' on the radio and ...... it made the hairs on the back of my neck stood up

Im gonna have to go with Pantera on this one. Dime was the better axeman IMO and nobody touches Phil Anselmo when it comes to being a metal frontman. To bad these 2 bands never got the chance to tour together though  that would have been one hell of a show. Saw Pantera 4 times and they were the tightest band ive ever seen and blew me away each time. RIP Dime and Burn in hell Nathan Gale.

I saw Pantera 4X too. The last time was at Ozzfest.

A friend sent me pictures of Dime's grave. If anyone wants to see them, pm me.
