This is my newest acquisition I got just this week. EMG 81, will be going in this sucker. :) or was thinking maybe a Seymour Duncan JB, passive V active

So....what do ppl recommend to me, anyone here have a Les Paul where they have changed pickups. The best change from what I hear and see, are either an EMG81 or a Seymour Duncan JB....SD's are half the price and a great budget pickup, but the EMG 81 drives alot harder. ! is an active, the other is a passive...What would u guitar heros's put in it, I respect what u guys think, so give me your thoughts. :)

Dont have any experience with Bill Lawrence pickups, so tell me more, obviously u have had personal experience with them. :)

they are hum-cancelling and pretty transparent so
if your guitar is good BL's will show :)

also .. they're like $50(or something) new :D

Haha, I have had a long day at work, brain is refusing to take anymore shit in, so what do u mean BL's will show???? I no doubt will prolly get what u mean as soon as my head hits the pillow tonite... lol I will go see my mate at the local guitar shop 2morrow ( www.derringers.com.au ) and see what he knows about them, or if I can hear one in action. So u have one in a Les Paul??? cheers :)
