I'm mostly a Paganini man myself
but I dig most classical composers :)

The first time I was transported with pleasure at the notion of playing guitar with an ass-kickin,' classical attitude was when I happened to hear the music in a Woody Allen movie. I was drawn by the melody and the singing chorus of violins in "A Midsummer Night's (!)Sex(!) Comedy(?) I've not heard the Beethoven (was it?) piece, but I'm sure that must have been where it originated. Other than that . . . the first violin piece that I was compelled to play on the guitar was all that crazy shit in The Charlie Daniels Band's "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." That's a lot of fun to play! And burp. And play. And burp. LOL Call your friends over! It'll be a blast!! Well, I was in Marietta, Georgia at the time I figured that one out . . . 8)

Beethoven and Mozarts. :o
"Hahaha, you don't see rockstars with straight A's in high school and such," says johnthebrucelee. "Actually, that only goes to show that playin' guitar ain't rocket science," Deansolo remarked. ;)

I listen to classical quite a bit, so I've got a few influences:

1. J.S. Bach
2. Mozart
3. Wagner
4. Beethoven
5. Frederic Chopin
6. Antonio Vivaldi
