Movies, anyone?

Postby BlackHeaven » Tue Dec 12, 2006 9:11 pm

Seen any good flicks lately?

The last two I saw were Casino Royale and Stranger than Fiction. Both were much better than I expected and quite good.

I can't think of any off hand, except for the new version of The Omen. I thought that was really cool! I want to see Lady of the Water and The Wicker Man when they come out on the 19th.

I'd recommend Invincible if you like football movies. Mark Walberg is the man though! \nn/

I don't go to movie theaters because I'm not a huge movie fan. The last time I went out to a movie was for my birthday--and that was back in July.

I LOVED the movie Crash. It's the best movie on racism I've ever seen--it covered it all and it definitely deserved the Best Picture Oscar.

...oh, and ANY Johnny Depp movie is a gimme :P

Crash blew my mind - very good movie.
Another "blow you mind" movie is Inside Man. Cool. Very cool.

Yeah Casino Royale is really nice. They keep working on making Bond more human. He's having hard times & he's expressing his feelings more.

I think I'm gonna go see Casino Royale...Just because the new James Bond looks like a cross between two guys I find interesting:

Steve McQueen,

and

Vladamir Putin.

Yeah, I liked Crash really well too. Actually, I've not heard anyone say they didn't like it.

I'm not a big 007 guy at all for some reason. The new one has received really good reviews from what I can tell though.

I'm really into suspense horror flicks, courtroom dramas are pretty cool, and my wife and I like a lot of the romantic comedies believe it or not. Hitch and Fever Pitch being some of our favorites!

I actually prefer old movies, especially anything Hitchcock. I love him!

...and it's almost time for me to have Mobster Weekend! Have some friends over, eat Italian food and watch the Godfather movies and end it all with Goodfellas, and maybe rewatch the first and second seasons of The Sopranos. I should do that the weekend after the Super Bowl. I hate when there's no more football :?

I wonder if you guys are talking about David Cronenberg's Crash or the other one which director name I forgot, starring Brendan Frazer.....
Both were very good to me anyway....

hahaha. I haven't but, my daughter did. That's the night she came home, turned on my bedroom light, woke me up and MADE me talk to her, jumped in bed with me and turned on the TV. It scared her shitless. But, she loves all the Saws and says there will, no doubt, be a Saw 4.

No, but it's not my cup of tea. I like more of what I call suspense horror movies. For example: The Sixth Sense, What Lies Beneath, The Others, The Omen (new version), An American Haunting, Dragonfly, Whitenoise, The Village, Signs, etc. I think you get the picture. I'm not into slasher flicks though. I like more of the supernatural stuff I guess.

The Sixth Sense, The Others & The Village were very very good. I haven't seen the other you mentioned though.
I suppose a classic like the Exorcist matches your criterias too.
