Here he is!!! (my charvel is done and he's called Jake)

He's finally finished.

I know there are a few issues like logo placement slightly out, no slanted singles (which I might change at a later date), no pearl buttons, but this guitar sounds and plays like an angel.

Enjoy! (I am, lol!)

One thing, does anyone on here have any contact with Jake himself? I was wondering if I could get my back plate signed to give it more mojo??!?!?

Nice!
Get ready for the onslaught from Metalhead though!
The Strat pickguard with Slanted singles "Jake style" are on Ebay at Present for $20!

I think Deansolo is the only one here that
is in contact with Jake every now and then. Check with him.

I just checked out the link to the guitar before it got white,
and I looked through the specs ... Laminated hardwood sounds
... cheap  but hey, as long as your happy with it :D

now, if you decide to do something closer to the real deal
in the future, I suggest that you look on eBay for
Swamp Ash bodied Strats ... they can be really cheap :D

Good job man...no sweat installing a plate with the slanted singles...but it is a must.

Well, he (Guitar Jake!) is a real B/W Classic Charvel beauty! You've outdone yourself Timstar, you have some luthier craftman qualities: very nice! 8O

Thanks for all the comments people!

Metalhead, I agree with your points and yes the guitar does sound a little thin compared to say a Les Paul, but I cranked it last night for the first time through my 100watt Hiwatt and it cuts really well and does sound pretty damn good.

If I get anothe grand I'll start a "proper" project but for now this'll do.

cheers

Yeah, humbuckers through cranked tube-amps tend
to sound great :D ... but I'm a SS man myself 8)
