Re: rock n roll rebel
it's probably a cranked JCM800 with an OD-1 to boost it.
and ofcourse Jakes "whitey" with the AH proto humbucker

There seems to be the most delicious little bit of a sort-of slap back reverb going on in there, too. My guess would be that was added at the board- or the amps were miked in a hard hall. I 've read that his set-up was simply "a couple of stacks," Marshall, "cranked all the way." Yes, I have some difficulty believing that Jake wasn't atleast a little more discriminating with his amplified sound. C'mon, he's a guitar player, right?! That sounds like a lot more colorful bullshitt from that icon of colorful bullshitt, Ozzy Osbourne.

I don't think Jake had a lot to say about his tone on BATM.

Speaking of Rock and Roll Rebel, why did they cut his solos so short/out on the remixed version of the album?
