Jake's tapped fill-in

Postby hashima » Sat May 19, 2007 7:42 am

There is a tapping part or somewhat my ears having a hard time with... Jake did it in the third solo of REMASTERED Rock'n'Roll Rebel, Lighning Strikes Outro as well as at the beginning of Crazy on both tour videos... or is that the same piece at all?

Regarding Lightning Strikes I got:

e-17t-12-14------------------------
b----------------------------------14
g--------------14-16t-/-18-11-----

?????

I play the very end of the Lightning strike outro like this :

E-------------------------14--------------------------------14
B-17-17--------14--19---------------17----------14--19---
G--------14h16--------------16--16------14h16------------
D--------------------------------------------------------------
A--------------------------------------------------------------
E--------------------------------------------------------------

x 2

Hope this helps.

Yea, his hand definitely moves across to the fretboard for some tapping.

Jeff said to me that hes familiar with the licks in the video.

Do you know the rest of the fills?

At what point (time wise) in the remastered version are you talking about?

hmm, maybe its a system of tapping and hammer on just like this way:

e-17t-12-14h--------------------------- and repeating...
b--------------------------14h-----------
g---------------14h-16t--------------11h
d--------------------------------16t------

?? could be at least... :D

i'd love to know the intro to crazy train, theres something about it that works so well. if we work it out, we'll have to put it on guitar pro and feature it as a download for members :)

Jake has always been very creative when it comes to playing Randy's material. I have even witnessed him playing the main riff of Suicide Solution in drop D way up the neck.
