Jakes Amps

Postby devon8822 » Sat May 26, 2007 9:29 pm

Hey ok, I know Jake used a variety of early marshalls... I believe he had a JMT 45, a 68, and a 69 or 71. He had 3.

I want to know which riff, solos, leads, w/e... wher eplayed with which amp? So if you know a certain part of a song thta wa splayed with a certian amp plz say... because i know he used the different amps for different places in songs. Also, does anyone know if he drove his amps with anything other than a sd-1 or is that what hje used exclusivly? thanks!

I think Jake was a JCM800 man with Ozzy most of the time. With Badlands he started using lots of different Marshalls (JTM45's etc) and then he used Peavey 5150's on tour with Wicked Alliance.

I'm putting together a page that documents some of Jake's amp/guitar/pedal usage on certain songs. The info was gathered from various interviews over the years. It should be up in a couple weeks.

On the pedal side, Jake used Boss Digital Delays for all the delay work in Badlands. He used the OD-1 to cut the deep lows produced by his EV speakers.

I got side-tracked on that page - I'll get working on it again soon.
