Yeah, I finally have the Dark Prince OZZY OSBOURNE newest release "Black Rain" about a month 1/2 ago: sometime back and I like it, alot! I pretty much dig all my new Cd's from Dimmu Borgir's (it has a strange title...'can't thank of it right now and it totally Trailblaze bad ass album. Even though it's on the dark side/it's amazing album from this horror looking band ), Mutemath debut (it's Sci-fi heavy Rock/Jazz...'very cool!), Megadeth it's a good recording yet the albums so mentioned above totally grapped my attentions most, OZZY's Black Rain is a fantastic album and is solid through & through AND Velvet Revolver (another strange album title, I think it's called "Libertad") new album is solid grounded/heavy Rockin' as well. I agree with you Shadow that Ozzy's Black Rain is a good album. I don't have a problem with it whatsoever.

Black Rain is a good album but the sound, especially with guitar, is way to BLS.I Think the problem is Zakk.I used to like Zakk in No Rest For The Wicked and No More Tears but when he started with BLS he began to change his playing and I don't like it and from I hear and read other people don't as well.There are two basic solutions here:
1:Give Zakk a few kicks in his butt so he can be convinced to change his guitar style to like it was in the old days.
2:Get a new guitar player.
Some here have said that ozzy should throw in the towel but The Ozz Man is not the prob he can still sing man and he still has enough energy to tour, I mean he just jumps around and claps his hands on stage(This is not an offence to Ozzy it's just what he does, right.?)

I don't have a problem with Zakks guitar style though,
but his BLS style isn't exactly what I wanna hear when I hear
an Ozzy album. I do like it, but I think it's more suited for BLS

I think its time for Ozzy to search for a New Guitar Player who isnt a Biker wanna Be and Sucks down his 80 beers a day.. Gimme a break there was a time not that long ago when Zakk Kept the BLS sound and Ozzy Sound Different! and sepprate ..

Everyone seems to have covered how I feel about this album so I won't add to it...but I do say download the extra songs that were on the japan release...."nightmare" and "love to hate"....they both kick the ass of anything thats on the album. Love to hate has a very 80's kinda vibe.....really cool shit
Joe Holmes SUX!!! I saw him a few times with OZZY and was not impressed at all. Just because he was a student of Randy doesn't mean he is talented. And the new OZZY CD "Black Rain" blows....as do the last two before Black Rain. The last good OZZY CD was No More Beers!!! No Rest For The Wicked was alright. The Ultimate Sin sucked. Bark was good, and Blizzard and Diary were killer.
most people round here would say that SIN and Bark are killer too......cause they are (NRFTW is killer too). lets face it ozzy was great until he started to try and be sober as well as gettung rid of bob daisley as a writer
MetalHead don't get me wrong man I love BLS and the guitar style is awsome but like you said it's not what I want to hear on a Ozzy Disc. Now there's an Argentinian rock band called Rata Blanca (White Rat) the guitarist would be awsome with Ozzy.Here's a photo, he's considered the best in Argentina, his name is Walter Giardino.

Yah I think it time ozz to start looking for a new Unknown guy like all the others!!! besides Zakk is doing well with all the B.L.S stuff thats all great but like Matelhead has said too.. I really dont want to hear that on an Ozzy record . That the whole reason why Zakk has BLS is to be able to do his thing but Black Rain is Ozzy's thing .. but then agaijn I would love to see Zakk do pride and Glory again !!!!
