Warren Haynes lesson

Postby frethead » Mon Sep 15, 2008 12:33 pm

O, man! If you can sit through his droll carries on over the ridiculously juvenile realization of the concept of "spacing," you should be rewarded with one hell of a nice peanut butter toasty sound and some damn tasty licks! Although, I must say that most of the juniors I've seen at youtube and that Dean contest apparently haven't the inkling of a clue about timing, puctuation, texture, or anything besides fingering notes and presenting their hand as if they're not really trying to do anything special. But, that's just me.

Well, yeah. But, like . . . duuuh! Without the spaces, there wouldn't be any places. Without a pause, there would be no note. To the converse, and complimentarily speaking, if there were not any pauses, there'd be not the plurality of notes. Without an exhalalation, there'd be no inhalation. No dark, no light. No soft, no hard. No black, no white, etc, etc, etc. This is the same universe of duality that everyone has ever lived in. Ever!!! Change within the state of change is the unchanged state. Wait, did I just say that aloud?!
