I was a young lad back in 80-82 learning guitar, listening to Randy, eddie etc etc, then I discovered Metallica around 82, kill em all is a killer album, and started a whole new genre of music, then i got in to megadeth not long after. But yeh, mustaine has always been a whinger about being kicked from metallica. He was only in metaliica for less than a year, never made an album with them, and to this day, shit cans metallica, coz megadeth never reached the heights of Metallica, and thinks he's been ripped off, so it puts me off them abit. But they were 2 diff bands, both had diff styles, and both were good at what they did, but at the same time, ride the lightning, and kill em all, are 2 all time fave albums, so I lean towards Metallica. :) Plus mustaine is a pretty average singer, but youthinasia is a fkn fave album. :)

What...for 5 albums???? He did write a few songs with the band on kill em all, thats about it. :) and those songs being, the four horseman, jump in the fire, phatom lord and metal militia. :) Ow ok, and theres a couple on RTL, never realised that. Well for his short stay with them, he left his mark, the 2 best albums IMO.

Who said anything about 5 albums ? ;)

I was merely pointing out that he did record with them.

Hanneman is an excellent guitarist.

As for the poll, Megadeth all the way.

Not a Slayer fan at all dude...sorry. What about Testament? I've always been a fan of the original lineup. I picked up the new Live in London DVD of them over the weekend. I haven't gotten the chance to check it out yet though.

I like the band a lot but I think they are pretty unskilled.
