Guys, may I suggest you're missing the point here? That's not about Jake's best live solo spot there's already a thread going on about that...

Well, mine are Secret Loser and Lightning Strikes.

I think Stargazer just forgot to add the poll option or something...actually I think there's no poll option... :?:

I admit that I am not a big fan of the "guitar solo" spot where the lead player just wanks on his guitar endlessly. Drum solos are the worst. I always thought that was a big waste of time and just filler. I would rather hear a jam or another song. With that said, Jake was one of the best at wanking live.

Yeah I liked what Steve Vai did on the Whitesnake tour...He just shredded his ass off for a minute and than his solo was over. he got to what everyone wanted to hear him do and it only took a minute. I saw Yngwie Malmsteen live in November and there were about 5 solo spots from him. My favorite Solo spot his Randy Rhoads solo from the Blizzard tour it's not too long and pretty much all shredding with some cool lines thrown in. Jake's Ultimate Ozzy solo is one of the best ever. I love how he starts it. At the start of the solo he sounds like a machine gun. I think drum solos are a waste unless your Cozy Powell or Tommy Aldridge.

I fixed the poll issue where people couldn't vote. Try again.

We did, we did, HardDriver. Twice before you posted. But, are you talking Never Know Why We Rock instead of Never? My Ultimate Sin vid doesn't have a live version of Never on it.

I'm not a guitar player. Nor, do I pretend to be one. But just listening to Never makes me think that it has to be one of the hardest songs to play. Ever. The man is just freakishly fast on that one!

OOOOOPS  Sorry i guess i should read all of the posts before i reply  I was refering to the song Never on TUS cd though. On the Ultimate Ozzy VHS tape that i have he rips it up on the " Never Know Why " solo and his guitar solo on that is amazing.

Ahh. My bad. I thought you were referring to the ultimate ozzy vid. We both need to learn to read better. lol Oh, well. At least we are agreeing on the same song, after all.
