I saw this video yesterday for the first time in my life .. :)
Unfortunately, in Poland in the 80's the only western tv program was "Peter's pop show" from Germany .. :x

Hostess legend Marilyn McCoo (The Fifth Dimension, Solo w/husband Billy Davis Jr..'love everything they did, total Classic's) always beautiful lady as she introduced the Prince of Darkness OZZY OSBOURNE. Treasure vintage footage of OZZY and his band total legends all: they looked dashing spot-on as they Ozzy Osbourne, Jake E. Lee, Bob Daisley, Don Airey and Carmine Appice (everytime I see his name I think of Carmel Apples, smile) kicked megabuns on this special SOLID GOLD TV show performing live their Classic "Bark at the Moon." [b]WOW, what a sight & awesome performance. :o

Took another eye-ful watch of this vintage Classic performance: like I said above spot-on kick buns live performance from OZZY & his boys Jake, Daisley, Airey and Appice. Trailblazing delivery of the much beloved Wolf Classic "Bark at the Moon" awesome!! I like the crazy wild laugh from Ozzy & the look in his eyes when he performs...'his a trip!! And the guitar Solo from Jake was-is high jet-energy all the way! I love "Bark at the Moon."

If I remember right they did 2 songs on this show, BATM and So Tired, and like every act on Solid Gold they were lip-synched. Still remember how cool it was to see Jake on tv though.

Yes -"So tired" also performed but unfortunately this performance can not be found anywhere.

"So Tired" was one of those songs that always made me say to myself, "Wow, this is Ozzy?" But on the other hand it has some power to it. Kinda reminds me of "Goodbye to Romance", slow but powerful.

Rather, it's not about the tempo of the song just for instrumentation ..;)
Not enough guitar and too many strings and keyboards.

It's well known that Ozzy is a big fan of the Beatles, who did some far out stuff with horn and string arrangements. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with the way the song was done?

どうしてジェイクのソロの最中にオジーのばっちい顔写真なんか貼って邪魔するんだよなあ? 8O

Jake has always said he liked So Tired until they "smaltzed" (I believe that's the word he used, lol!!) it all up with strings and everything. Guitarwise it has some nice textures from Jake (esp. the stuff he plays just before it goes into the chorus), I've always loved his solo in it, its very note perfect if you ask me with just enough nastiness in his pick attack to not be too nice. I would love to hear a version of this song before they added strings and too much production. There was a video up of this on youtube (solid gold) at one time but I haven't seen it for awhile so it may have been taken down.
