Playing Highwire

Postby macheted01 » Mon Nov 05, 2012 2:38 pm

So, this is the song that just blew me away when I first bought my Badlands cassette. I had to learn it right there and then. Wore out my cassette. I remember later, Guitar World came out with the tab to it. I still have that same magazine. In any case, I decided to start playing this song again. I am just a rhythm player, so those are the parts I am focusing on. There is a section going into the first lead that is played on D and E. The tab says that he uses a flanger during this section. It sounds more like a univibe to me, and when I am playing it, the univibe effect I have and use sounds the best for it.
I know not everyone here may actually play guitar, but was wondering what others here that play this, think?

"High Wire" is a awesome high-adrenaline anthem song for BADLANDS. Power electricity throughout!! 8O 8)

To me it sounds like he's using a rotovibe pedal.

Thats what I thought. Also, checked out the gear specs area for the badlands era and that is what was listed.
