Headbangers Ball

Postby Gutterflower » Sun Feb 26, 2006 5:24 am

Yesterday I watched one of my old vhs tapes. The date on it is January 1990, and it has the first HB Ball that Riki Rachtman hosted. His first guests were Anthrax. The show includes debut videos of:

Sweet Soul Sister-The Cult
Through Different Eyes-Fate's Warning
Never Enough-L.A. Guns
House of Broken Love-Great White
Caught In A Mosh-Anthrax

Other videos on the tape:

The Ballad-Testament
Astronomy Domine-Voivod
Loud Love-Soundgarden
Hellion/Electric Eye-Judas Priest live
Stranger in a Strange Land-Iron Maiden live
You Shook Me-Loudness
Hide Your Heart-Kiss
Fool For Your Loving-Whitesnake (with Vandenberg and Vai)
Out With The Boys-Lord Tracy
Let It Go-Def Leppard
Trouble In Paradise-Princess Pang
I Don't Believe In Love-Queensryche
Do Ya-Ace Frehley

There's alot more because the whole 6 hour tape is full. I've also got lots of Week In Rock with Kurt Loder. The first one has footage of Sebastian Bach jumping into the crowd and then getting arrested for assault in Springfield, MA. There's a good bit of Motley Crue footage on the set of the video Without You. And there's also the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductions and performances.

I haven't watched this in years-it was pretty cool! I'm in the market for a dvd recorder-as soon as I figure out which one I want, I'll be making dvds. I've got a LOT of old Headbangers Ball tapes from back in the day. 8) Does anyone else out there have any recommendations for a dvd recorder?
