Most Ridiculous Music Video?

Postby RandyRhoadsRules! » Sun Feb 26, 2006 1:52 am

I will go with Estranged by Guns N Roses. I love that song and the solo

but why the hell does Axl have to jump off a ship just to swim with dolphins!

sorry, but I have no respect for anyone who fucks over fans and ruins a perfectly badass band just because "He can".

I would have to say the dumbest video ive ever seen was Dokkens infamous " Into the Fire " video. I love Dokken but man that was one cheesy ass video. And just about any video by Stryper as well but thats just because they suck.

Breaking The Chains by Dokken is pretty cheesy and really low budget. It always makes me laugh. Their best video was for It's Not Love.

How can you pick just one? There are so many......All the Poison vids for example.

I don't know the name of the song, and I'm not positive about the band. I think they were Megadeath ( the band with Dave Mustaine, right?, I think) , and the video was shot in, like, a toxic waste facility ( or something?) Ohh, I admit I've seen some cheese, but man, that was like. . . " Sir, your cheese," being hand delivered. I don't know. Possibly, it had something to do with a video game?

Stryper doesn't suck. They were a helluva lot more talented than 99.9 % of the 80s hard rock bands!

My vote goes to Dio's The Last In Line or Queensryche's Queen of the Ryche.

I love both bands, but those early vids were reeking of Velveeta! :-)

[i]I hafta ask - are we rating just metal/rock videos or all genres??

For all genres, I'd have to say Eminem or a lot of the crap - errrr sorry - rap vids are pretty inane.

Metal/Rock - wow! There were sooo many 80'd vids that were so forgetable. I agree that some of Poison's were cheese-encrusted, same with Cinderella's. I like Dokken, but "Breaking the Chains" was indeed very bad - in fact the members of the band even say that! How about "Bang Bang" by Danger Danger.....or was that "Danger Danger" by Bang Bang? There would be many more to name....but I've successfully managed to overcome the shock of even seeing them the 1st time and I would rather not go there in my mind - too scary! 8O

Oleg - I could not watch the video link you sent. I moved to an area that is too far out for DSL, so I had to go back to sucky dial-uo. What was it?

PoetsandMadmen - I agree about Stryper. I happened to like them a lot! But thier "Shining Star" video......blech!

frethead - Just curious - What Palmetto do you live in? The one in Florida? If so - then "Howdy, neighbor!"/i]
