People touching your baby (Guitar)

Postby johnthebrucelee » Thu Mar 02, 2006 7:56 pm

Today at school, I was practicing my guitar before school was over and this guy and his friends were around me. He asked me to play my guitar... I was like,"Dude, would you like it if people touched your baby?" Oh and this guy isn't good at guitar at all.. I think he wants to make an impression on his friends or something like that.

What would you say if someone that wanted to play your guitar just to look cool? Just wondering if I'm crazy...

Depends on the person and the guitar...I would never let anyone less qualified than me play my number 1, unless we were very very good friends. Now, if I was playing a POS guitar then maybe.....But if his intent was to look cool at my expense....NO WAY!

... Let me see, I'm in a ROOM that is for PRACTICE. I have never taken guitar lessons/classes before. lol OK, I signed up for Orchestra and got it for my elective class. I thought they teach you how to play instruments in that class, but it seems that you had to have experience with the instruments in orchestra. I wanted to learn how to play violin, but apparently, that was the wrong class... So I'm Orchestra but not with the "band". I'm stuck in the halls when it's that period. I used to ditch and come back before that class ended. I got caught "ditching". Scary ass cop talked to me and not too long ago, I wanted to use the orchestra class period for my guitar practice, which is in a ROOM that is for piano/violinist to practice apart from the band room.

Playing guitar really didn't help me get laid all that much.

Of course, it may have had something to do with how I was playing. :D

Yeh, I have always let ppl play my guitars if they ask, but they are pretty much only muso's that ask anyway, to check out the feel of the guitar if anything, rather than trying to impress ppl.
