Demo Sample

Postby jimiforrest » Fri Mar 03, 2006 9:31 pm

Hello everyone. I've been recording tonight and thought I'd post a sample. I got my 80's guitar mojo going tonight after watching the new Whitesnake DVD last night, LOL. This guitar solo was triple-tracked (yes...I played it three separate times) and I added a couple of subtle harmonies in a couple of spots. Sorry for the mp3 quality but you should get the idea. The mix is dry (no effects except a very, very low mixed delay). Thought I'd give some friends a listen.

You can download it here.

So that's what Randy Rhoads did to the recordings to get that sound. Sounds good. 8)

Yeh, sounded good, pretty good these days with what u can do at home, without going to a studio like we had to do in the old days if we wanted a half decent recording.

Yeh, I dont think he was trying to play like randy, but giving an example on recording. I personally wouldnt know what the fuk he done, coz I wasnt there, but I never personally double or triple solo tracks, only beef up the rhythm with 3 tracks if I am the only guitarist. :)
