A few years ago I was shopping and ran across a double live version CD of Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Went home, threw it in the ol' player and !!!!! Ran back out, bought 2 more copies for Christmas presents and the recipients reactions were !!!! after listening to it. If you haven't given this CD a listen, you should. There are extended versions of Heard it Through the Grapevine, Run Through the Jungle and Suzie Q (!!!). No Fogerty but, damn, Elliot Easton can tear it up !! Has anyone seen this new version of the band live? I would love to hear a review as I plan on catching them when/if they bounce through here.

Elliot Easton - lead guitar
Steve Gunner - keyboards, acoustic guitar, percussion, harmonica, vocals
John Tristao - lead vocals, rhythm guitar

They swung by here (SoCal), at one of the casinos I think, a few years ago. Being a "Old Fogarty" fan I never considered going to the show. I was kind of dismayed that Elliot Easton (Im also a huge Cars fan...The best of the New Wave bands, IMO) was playing with them. But if you say it rocks I'm gonna check it out!

Yep, check out Suzie Q and I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Several other good 'uns, too. Born on the Bayou, Tombstone, etc. I think the entire thing rocks. My brother is a guitar player and skeptic ... it raised his eyebrows again and again.

Yes way! 10+ min. Suzie Q, 15+ min. Grapevine and 8+ min. Run Through the Jungle. If you like CCR's music, I'm pretty sure you'll like this cd. There's a couple of pics at this link and cd sample downloads. FYI and somewhat of a hijack, but wasn't James Burton 15 when he wrote/cowrote Suzi Q?
