An extension of Bo Bice..

Postby Jiver » Sat Apr 08, 2006 11:36 am

:) This post is an ext. of the topic of Bice, and It'd be interesting to see the responses. I imagine this is a mixed age crowd here, but somewhat older, overall. Lots of references to past groups/music/etc. So....

What CURRENT artists are being listened to today? Any current faves? In any genre (rock/metal/country/etc...), b/c there seems to be pros/cons in responses to American Idol (which I don't watch much, very little, and always near the end of the contest-weeding out the rest), current groups/artists, and modern pop culture. Just curious; will see some interesting debates from this, sure of it. Cool, thx, peace.... 8)

Well, I don't know if I speak for everyone here, but I have to say that one thing I certainly never want to see is a Bo Bice extension. As for current bands . . . O! I'm sorry, I intended to provide you with a whole answer, but, suddenly my head hurts.

I listen to many current talented bands, but my top three current favs are:

3. Symphony X (United States)
2. Kamelot (United States)
1. Masterplan (Germany)

Edguy (Germany) follows very, very close to the above three bands though!

Bo Bice can't sing, period! I will always give him credit for exposing Badlands to 30 million plus though!

I was a little surprised when I heard his new song, I thought he wouldn't be so easy listening, but I'm sure he's making lots of $$ off of it. As far as new bands, I like what I've heard of Default so far, Seether's ok. But I am SICK of Fall Out Boy. Enough with this Emo-Punk-Skater stuff.
