Hi from a newbie. My very easy "Charvel" project.

Hi ya everyone, from a huge Jake fan from the UK.

I was going to make myself a White "Charvender" copy on a budget (£92 inc postage from the States!!) and start with this [url=http://www.squierguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=0320000550] but I think when I sand the head, put the charvel logo on and laquered it, it will look so good as it is I'm not gonna bother. I call it a Jake "inspired" guitar.

Wonder what the routing is like!! I'm gonna put a JB in I think.

Might get another one and do a whitey at some point.

have a good one

Tim These are on Ebay often around £50!
Be aware when one buys from the USA duties are added at your end..when I bought my "Jake" (See other thread!) I paid almost £150 in Duties!

Ive seen the normal bullets on ebay all the time but never the special edition. I just liked the look on this one, which was discontinued a year or so ago, but I found a shop with 11 left, now 10!!! and postage was only $20!!!!!

You shouldn't pay much if anything at all under products coming in under £150! I've never been stung that much even on a £800 Lynch ESP. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Just picked it up!!! For the money, AMAZING! Don't get me wrong it is a cheap end of the market guitar which does feel a little "produced" if you can understand what I mean, but ive just been messing with it and it stays in tune very well. Just need to swap the pickup out (which is actually not that bad anyway) and Charvy it up and hey presto.

No tax or duties whatsoever!!! So a nice-ish guitar for under £100 inc ship from USA to UK, can't be bad. What's clever is the company i bougth it from (I think) ship it to Europe for onward transmission which might be why I didn't pay any duties, and they've got some of the new Charvels in stock!!!!!!! Hee hee
