Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
So I looked up on MySpace and there's a Jake E. Lee up on MySpace.
I wonder if it's the real him- probably not though since Jake seems so reclusive. It's probably just someone posing as him.
Just like he doesn't run his own website, i'm sure he doesn't run his myspace either.
What do you guys think? Also, do you know if that
Tim Heyne guy is still Jake's manager?
Have any of you guys spotted him in Las Vegas? I wonder if he got any royalties from the Ultimate Sin and Bark at the Moon albums? It seems like Ozzy likes to cut people out of publishing rights- I wonder if he was just paid as a hired gun and not for the records or ? Does anyone know- just curious.
I swear trying to find Jake is like finding the loch ness monster or bigfoot LOL

Re: Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
Knowing sharon, u would be on a salary which included songwriting and performing etc, and prolly no royalties from songs.
Re: Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
Jake received a lump sum for his Ozzy lps, somewhere around $300K.That is the rumour anyway. If you are hurting for cash, 300 K sounds great.I think he wouldve made more in the long run. This all came down at the time of the reissue debacle.Jake agreed to the amount, Phill Sousan wanted more and they couldnt agree to terms, so the Ultimate Sin was shelved.Petty Osbourne.
Re: Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
Hmmm thanks.
The reason I was asking is because although 300k is good, it's not enough to live on for the rest of your life.
So with no royalties there's no check coming in the mail every month.
It's weird he is so reclusive, because its not like Peter Gabriel being reclusive or something where he made a ton of bread and he could afford to be.
I hope Jake shows up in some band somewhere soon.

I read that he used that money to finance the Badlands albums. Think I read that in a magazine interview, but it was so long ago, I can't really remember.
Re: Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
that 300k was recent, like in 2000.Around when the reissues came out.Badlands got a huge bonus to sign. When the money got low, jake did session work ala Ann Lewis and the bank song.

That wasn't Jake himself selling his Soldano, that was someone else who mentioned Jake had played on it, if I remember right.
Re: Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
wasn't there some rumours about him having another kid as well?

Perhaps he is receiving royalties from the Japanese/Asian market for Badlands as well as his session work.

Re: Jake's Manager and Jake on MySpace
I happened to see the My Space thing as well. I got all excited...until I looked down further & there is a disclaimer where he says that "The person who created it is not Jake, and has no contact with Jake." Drats! lol But maybe more people will see & hear him there & get hungry for more!Alkeys wrote:So I looked up on MySpace and there's a Jake E. Lee up on MySpace.

My question there though is this: I thought there was bad blood between Jake & his daughter Jade. Interesting to see that she is on the friends list. And isn't she & Sharon beautiful?
Yes, he is very reclusive, but, I'd rather him be this way & everything he does is a wonderful present, rather than hang out & try to get more camera time & have everyone say "enough all ready!"
As long as we get some great new music from him time to time & know he is happy & alive - then I'll be happy!
I'm not suffering from my addiction to Jake E. Lee - I'm enjoying every minute of it!
