80's Tribute To Van Halen

Postby PoetsandMadmen » Thu Jun 29, 2006 1:01 pm

Hey guys! I was navigating www.cdinzane.com and came across a new tribute album that Jake is actually playing on. I thought I'd throw it out there in case someone was interested. I don't believe it's been released yet, so you might want to check it out.

I think it'll be released on 07/18/2006 but I ain't sure... apparently it's no new stuff cuz Jake and Stephen Pearcy already worked together on "runnin' with the devil" ... try amazon.com for more infos, it's the same track...

actually... how do you guys think bout his job on this tribute? I was a bit disappointed when I first listened to "runnin' with the devil", sounded as if he was not in the mood that day... or he just wanted to treat Eddie's work with respect by keeping his own level slightly lower ... dunno

Jake is certainly honorable, and where "Sir Edward" is concerned . . . I would assume that anytime there's a guy holding a guitar in a recording studio and a Van Halen song is playing, respect is being given. Otherwise, I haven't heard that album.
