jyaaaa ... matter of taste :-) ... ... ... the population-thing in Nihon depends on where ya go... Hokkaido is a bit like canada... can travel hundreds of miles and you won't meet a soul... ain't just Tôkyô... but your right, Nihon's pretty expensive...

sayô nala...

Personally, I've never even had the slightest urge to go to Vegas. There's much more that I want to see in the world than a bunch of casinos, lights, prostitutes, pimps, horrible Elvis impersonators, and desert land! :-) To each his/her own though. That's what I always think of when I think of Las Vegas.

I'm with you on this one, Poets. The only thing you left out that I would throw in the mix is a multitude of down-on-their-luck people eating at cheap all-you-can-eat buffets.

I think that Jake probably still enjoys life just as much as in the 80s. I would love to meet the guy in person so i could see what he was really like. He seems to have changed physically a lot from the Jake i love watching on the shows i have on dvd

Yeah, he's changed a bit....but you'll have that. Generally people start to change physically when they're about 1 day old and continue to change unitl the day they die about 80 years later...in some cases earlier!!! LOL!!!

Just an observation. :D

In the bark at the moon vhs i didnt particuarly notice he was half Japanese whereas recently you can really see he is! Just my observation ;)

That's just what I've always had in my head about Las Vegas, but I could be totally wrong about it. Hollywood hasn't done my image of Vegas any favors though!

I used to think that about Vegas until I went. There's a lot to see and do, it's not all prostitutes and gambling. The fountains at Bellagio are cool, Treasure Island has the pirate show, there's a rollercoaster at New York New York, the Eiffel Tower at Paris, you can go to the Venetian and ride in the gondolas, go to the top of Stratosphere, see the sharks at Mandalay Bay and there's also a free show at Excalibur. Each hotel has an attraction, and lots of times it's free. There are lots of other shows you can check out, like Cirque de Soleil, Blue Man Group...plus lots of rock bands perform there. And those are just some of the hotels on the Strip. I haven't even made it to Fremont Street yet. One good thing: you definitely don't need a rental car. The shuttles at the airport take you to whatever hotel you're staying at for $20 round trip. And the buffets I've been to have all been really nice.

I heart Vegas! 8)
