Cheers mate, had the fkn best action of any guitar I had, was real fast, yet so smooth, funny thing is, was looking around last 3 days to get another, i miss it so much, bought mine for 400 bucks in 1981, to get one now is around 1500 bucks, and that is for an original, mate had an iceman, the one he had was blue. Heres a pic....fkn love these too...I believe adrian smith from MAIDEN had an explorer version in the early days (number of the beast). Ibanez really fkn made their mark with these guitars in the early 80's.

I have an IC400 that I bought back in '94/95 I guess, it was and still is a cool guitar with pretty good pu's but I've never liked the neck that much, too thin for me. At that time I wasn't very careful with my axes, it shows on that particular guitar

Re: Your very FIRST guitar
First Guitar was a "Prestige" sort of a Gibson Firebird knock off.
First real guitar that played well and actually worked with an amp ( the prestige was so old and beat up it just hummed) was a Memphis SG copy, sort of a gold color. great action and sound! first amp was a blackface fender pro reverb! Man I wish I still had that thing!!!

lol Wtf. how do you shrink it?

Re: Your very FIRST guitar
You all have a pretty good definition "descriptions" & some photos of your Guitars: their beautiful. I only own a pennent guitar (smile) - pity I don't own a real one/that's because I don't have any music Guitar skills of playing a guitar (smile). Anyway I like my stone pennent guitar I had since the late 70's! That Classic Black Guitar above looks absolutely haunting/like a black widow spider. Scary but it's beauty none the less. Peace!

I've actually read that that explorer thingy was a Dean Z-model
