I always thought a good live album should be a compromise between the last record and the stage feeling. I mean when I first saw metallica for the and justice for all tour, they really were in a thrash mood and they played faster than all their albums for the whole show. I was kinda disapointed. I like a band who can keep close to the record on stage while adding an extra little plus from the present. One of the only band I know who can do that is Helloween.
