Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
that RS guitar was sold on ebay a few months ago as an actuall fenderized-charvel.turns out the neck and body are of unkown origin.Chuckracer posted about it a few months ago.If the price is right i might take it, but the price would have to be low.
Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
What do you mean the neck and body "are of unknown origin"

Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
im liking th bullet truss rod on the first
Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
When RS sold that guitar on ebay, they said it was a 1973 fender, modified to be like jakes. So that would make it a "charvelized-fender".Alkeys wrote:What do you mean the neck and body "are of unknown origin"
Well, when chuck got it home, he knew it was NOT a fender, and that the parts were of "unknown" origin.Meaning, they werent fender, charvel, gmw..ect....
Might be a cool guitar still.
Please PM me the GMW Addy, id like to take a shot at it, thanks!

Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
I know that all fender and Jackson replacement parts are from allparts now exept for all the Us custom shop stuff that is usualy warmoth back in the day cchandler made a great neck for fenders and jacksons too so did JB player before they started makeing Bad Korean made models .
Srv's white strat with the lipstick pick ups is a chandler and I had a JB player strat that I made into a jake in 1991 that I wish I never got rid of
because it played and sounded better then any charvel or fender srtat I have ever owned .
what can yah do coulda shoulda woulda!LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!

Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
its easy to make your own replica, but it takes ALOT of time and you have to be patient for parts, paints, etc...
i have been toying with the idea of making a dream JAKE white guitar, but the hardest thing is finging a strat neck (small headstock) with a bullet truss rod in rosewood.
other then that, making the jake shoudl be fairly easy with a pickguard template.
anyone have the jake pickguard template?

Re: Jake E. Lee Replica guitars
you can get the bullet sepatly then install it on the regular strat neck its that simple.
you can get both the bullet and neck at www.allparts.com oe even warmoth.com its that easy I have done that 5 times already because I dont like hoe deep the new truss rod bullets go so I get the 70's bullets at allparts and put the bullet in. the old ones come right off and the new bullet (the 70's bullet goes right in) try USA customs too.
