Ok, the one you're talking about - is it the one he uses on Flying High Again on the Salt Lake City show from 1984? And the daphne blue on Center of Eternity? I always thought it was the same guitar....

Rainbow wrote:Jake had other white ones that were not created from a donor Fender - he even had a white charvel with a single humbucker, and yes a 4 bolt neck plate

Wasn't the one you're thinking about "daphne blue"? Not entirely white?

It's like Charvel takes pride in the "fact" that Jake E. Lee used one of their guitars... All he did was use their logo.

not entirely true ;)
the daphne blue, red/mirrored, blueburst and purleburst...all Charvel :)
This

and I also assume when he had the fender modded the charvel guys may have ...

I have to agree with Sytharnia about all this. It is basically just a white guitar with slanted single coils. And a SQUARE neckplate?! What the hell is that all about? I remembered when I discovered Jake E. Lee, watching that concert from Salt Lake City, I couldn't figure out what kind of brand he ...

I think it's a lesson in "How you NEVER should play NEVER by Jake E. Lee."

Probably old news, but this is pretty cool. Also some interesting info on the nickname Mr. Lou Williams used for his beloved guitar.

I swear - if I ever came across the REAL WHITEY I'd die with a smile on my face!

Yeah, this guy is WAY off. Please, guys, don't listen to this geek. He shouldn't be doing tutorials at all!! The hammer-on pull-off thing is heavily simplified and his timing on the first fill is horrible.

And who the hell cares about how he looked like when he was 16?!? What has that got to do ...

I have an old KERRANG! from 1983 with Jake on the cover. This is pre Bark at the Moon, and Don Costa is still in the band. In this interview Jake says:

"Mick (Mars) will die when he reads this, but it was me, Nikki, Vince and Tommy who were discussing it. They weren't sure whether they wanted to ...

thanks! i'd love one of these. especially the esps with the pre lawsuit strat headstocks. like the one in the "the last time" music video

does anyone know what pickups this one has? doesn't look like the typical jb/sds-1s combo.

i don't know if you guys know this, but bob daisley has a facebook profile. the great thing about him is that he answers every single question that people ask him. i asked him about jake, and he answered shortly after. from what i have learned, he thinks highly of jake and he has said that he did an ...

so the stuff went for $5.50....

this is very very jolly indeed!

that's how jake recorded and played it live, according to guitar school magazine march 1990. "jake says he's seen people play it in standard tuning, but that it looks painful."

don't forget to tune the A up to B, and the low E up to F#.
