Re: Gtr builders: I got the string spacing hardtail bridge b
Thanks Jefnel-
Yeah I should just buy a body routed for pickups and no holes anywhere and just drill them all myself.
Here's the problem though- even if the string holes did line up, I'd have to shave off part of the pickguard- where the top of the bridge touches the pickguard- the space between ...

Allparts USA . This bridge has a string spacing of 2 and 3/16 inches.
I then bought a JEL bridge from allparts japan ...

Yeah I saw that- Lame- shame on those guys for doing that.
Jake is one of the most talented players of all time. At least if you're gonna make fun of someone, don't do it to someone who doesn't deserve being made fun of. Poor taste.

Re: calling all guitar wizards: DiMarzioSDS-1 replacement ad
EMG SAs are cool for that compressed/processed David Gilmour, Steve Rothery, Andy West-Oram kinda sound. I'll probably have another strat with SAs in it, but for this one, I'm keeping it PASSIVE. Someone just suggested a DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Solo Pro. Interesting. Thanks for all the suggestions.

calling all guitar wizards: DiMarzioSDS-1 replacement advice
Does anyone know what is a good substitute for the DiMarzio SDS-1? I want to put SDS-1's into a guitar I'm building but aparently they have horrible hum so I'm kind of afraid to do so.
Should I put a DiMarzio ProTrack in there in it's place? Any good SDS-1 sounding replacements? Open all brand ...

Re: Need pickups advice from you guitar wizards
Awesome- thanks guys- I think I'll stick to the JB. Glad to hear you guys like it. I should have known LOL- if Jake picked that one- hell it had to be a good choice. Just wanted to double check with you all- so thanks a bunch guys!

Need pickups advice from you guitar wizards
Howdy all-
I am almost done building my jake guitar. I have the two DiMarzio SDS-1 singlecoils but I need advice with the bridge humbuckers.
Now when it comes to the bridge humbucker- is a Duncan JB really the best choice? I've been thinking about a DiMarzio Evolution 2 or maybe something else ...

Re: Eddie Trunk info
Thanks Dean as always for the updates of info
I just meant anybody getting an interview with Jake is near impossible and I'm sure he's not in any big hury to do it.
Re-read my post and realized I sounded like an ass- apologies to everyone especially Deansolo. In the future, I'll keep my thoughts ...
