Do you think Jake would've fit in 'Deth ?

Postby MetalHead » Mon Aug 14, 2006 10:48 am

Do you think Jake would've fit in Megadeth ? Playingwise ?

I remember reading something about Testament beeing
interested when Skolnick left in the early 90's but
they apparently changed their mind.

How do you think Jake would sound in Megadeth
compared to ... Marty Friedman ?

I don't think so. Quite like deth especially stuff with Jeff Young, but Jake is a blues player, BUT if he had to he could have done it.

I would like to see Jeff Waters (Annihilator) in deth

Image wise, no, but playing ability, yes. Skolnick is a very skilled player as you know. One of the best IMO.

If Jake wasn't a good fit in Dio, then what in the world makes you think he'd fit playing Hanger 18 for cryin' out loud?

Yeah but that was before his Ozzy days and my guess
is that those days made him grow, as a person and as a guitarplayer.

But he would've had some serious competition though 8)

In my opinion, his days with Ozzy made him realize how much he loved blues based rock. I'm assuming that's why he eventually bought into Ray's idea of that sort of band. I can't ever see Jake being part of a "heavy metal" band.

It would've been cool to see Jake sit in Gilby Clark's seat on Rock Star Supernova. Now that would've kicked some ass!

I would pay large sums of money to hear Jake rip out his own solos on Hangar 18.

Jake could of fit in any array of heavy/and bluesy Rock bands that seeked him out: it would been "nice" to have seen the Rebel do something w/his early Teaser projects, proberly gathered up all that vintage material & Up Dated it and then vaulted it away.

Jake could have pulled it off, but I don't think he would have been happy with them, I hated them myself

I think Jake should recreate Badlands which is a cool name so no one else can use the name and get Oni Logan as vocalist who sung on George Lynch's Lynch Mob, album wicked sensation. Oni is a great singer and probably the best choice for Badlands. I still think Badlands was one of the greatest bands and should continue like ac/dc or other bands which continued after loss of their vocalist.
