Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Here's to a happy, healthy and prosperous new year for all!
...and at this time, I'd like to single out
Dean and Doobie
as our male and female board MVPs
Dean keeps threads alive, treats everyone respectfully (even when others are rude), is a good friend to all and makes pedals that ROCK!!
Doobie is the conscience of the board--she won't hesitate to say what she thinks AND will call you out if need be...but always diplomatically. PLUS we have the same excellent taste in men: JD...Marty...and tall dark and lanky
Here's to another good year for the forum and its members--I've gotten to know so many of you this past year--Fakeblue, AWOL Rock, the Fret family ('man and 'head), MrMetal, Poets, etc. I like you all and am glad that we're buds.
...and Jake and Greg, if you're reading this, here's a hope and a wish for new music this year!

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
*accepting award*
Thanks Linda.
Wow, there's so much I want to say...I don't know where to begin (*wipes away tears of joy*).
I want to thank Jefnel1 for spending so much time and money on the site and for allowing riff raff like me to congregate here.
I mostly want to thank Gutterflower tho'..She actually deserves this award more than I do. She keeps the board fun with her creative posts and topics....And fun is what a forum like this is all about.
Additionally, I want to thank Fretman, Frethead, Skezza, Robin, Walter (mrmetal
), Doobie, Rock, jimiforrest, Stratattack, harddriver, Poetsandmadmen, Fakeblue, Hashima, johnthebrucelee, and all the rest of you great people who have been great friends this past year...I'm at a loss to remember all the names but you know who you are. I also want to thank my mom and my dad for without whom I wouldn't be here today. I also want to thank Jake and Greg for making my work worthwhile. And lastly I just wanna say that I hope 2007 is good to all of you.
Rock and Roll!!!
Thanks (*waves award in the air while walking off stage*)

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
AND, he admits to swinging around on the chandelier in his loin cloth!! Okay, okay - maybe he didn't say anything about a chandelier but, I'll always remember the loin cloth post. I was likeGutterflower wrote:

Now scoot over, Deano. The mic is mine!! And, don't be trying to run off with my solid gold, diamond encrusted trophy!! **Doob whispers to Dean: "Look, Deano! There's a chandelier over there!!" Deano runs off to find his loin cloth**
Thanks, Linda. But, I think we all bring our own "something" to the board. You have to admit - it would get pretteee borrrrrring if we didn't mesh all of our personalities together! We're just like one big dysfunctional family (flashes back to "Little Miss Sunshine")!!

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
A little late, but hey, a happy new year to you all.
I've been relocating during x-mas and my internet
connection hasn't caught up with me yet.
Gives me more time to play guitar though

Don't you mean BANJO?!! As in, you have more time to sit on the front porch picking away at 'Dueling Banjo's' out there in the sticks in BFE as you have us all believing?? All the while the wife's barefoot and preggers in the kitchen cookin' up some O'possum stew and the kids are out yonder strippin' out of their overalls so they can take a swim in the ol' fishin' hole? Who needs the internet??!!
Just messin' with ya!

Re: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I think you may be mistaking Metalhead for FRETHEAD!
Isn't cousin Fretty the one who moved out into the hills of Ar-Kansas?
