What's up with John Sykes?
Does anyone know what John Sykes has been up to lately? He did some really cool stuff with Blue Murder. I know he's put out some other material over the years, mostly released overseas. Just curious.

Lately, mostly touring with Thin Lizzy. He'll be touring Europe in March.
He was at NAMM 2006 too, he was supposed to present his new Gibson Les Paul John Sykes signature but I don't know if he did. Anyway, check this out:

John releases solo stuff nowadays. You can get most of his solo release at very resonable prices at the following website:

I'll have to check out his website. I just have a couple of the Blue Murder albums, which I thought were really good. He's a great guitarist.

Re: What's up with John Sykes?
he still records solo records but was put in that hair band genre so as we all know makes it hard to be heard in the states', but yah he is great and very original, you can still bye the sykes les paul custom for I think 4.000
but youll have to wait about 6 months to get it or you can get a 1970's black les paul custom and put chrome where gold should be thats all he did he's changed his pick ups over the years.
I like his aged Gary Rosington les paul wich is a 59 relic that one is awsome.

Have you seen his Gibson Signature Model? Definitely not for me at that price. I'd make a NOS LPC out of a new or slightly used one before I buy one of those.
