New AC/DC Album Name

Postby CharvelSuperStrat » Thu Jul 03, 2008 4:21 am

legendary Australian hard rockers AC/DC have three titles that they are considering for their upcoming album, including "Black Ice" (which is said to be "a frontrunner at the moment") and "Runaway Train".

They Don't sound very AC/DC?!?!?

I agree, they really don't. But neither did Fly On The Wall and it was a pretty good rock n roll album.

Those names really don't seem to be very fitting for AC/ DC; my assumption is that we all have pretty much the same image. It is interesting to note the perverse/ diverse collection of invoked/ suggested attitudes when consideration/ attention is given to titles like/ such as the previously mentioned Fly on the Wall, Powerage, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Back in Black, etc, etc, etc. I must say that Black Ice or whatever title will naturally sound like total "Bizarro World" before relevance is established. Atleast, we can pretty well expect that it's not going to be some endlessly reduntant, dis-associated rap, sleazeball hiphop, or gay boy band dance shit! DANG, WHERE IS MY TEA?!!

Truthfully, they could call it Turd in the Bowl and it would still rip your face off. AC/DC can do no wrong.

They should call it " Same Shit Different Year " or " We Will Never Make Anything as Good as Back N Black But Here is Another Effort ". These guys have always been a little overhyped in my opinion. ( Insert Hardriver /Poison insults here ___________________________________ )

Nah AC/DC Rule! they have never done a bad album and Back in Black has great songs but id rather listern to The Razors Edge, Ballbreaker or Powerage.

I concur entirely, gtraddict. Now that you've mentioned it, Turd in the Bowl doesn't sound half bad! Surprisingly enough ( giggity,giggity,giggity-goo!) Setallica Outtis Metallica doesn't appear to have made the list! Seriously though, where in the hell is Van Halen? 8)

I'll bet that "Take on Me" sold more copies than "Enter Sandman."

Actually, I think Black Ice sounds pretty cool for an AC/DC album title. In my opinion, you can't really go wrong with any AC/DC. You get what you get, and that's straight forward, fist pumpin' rock n roll. I didn't realize that is a problem here on the Jake forum??? Maybe we should go out and toss the ol' football around with a few of you! :P
