Roller Nut?

Does anyone have a roller nut on their Strat? ...I have just bought a neck with no nut...and looking at options..Graphite nut etc
I know there are several Knowledable Chaps on Here who can advise
Should I just stick with Bone Nut?

I use the LSR roller nut on 2 guitars and have had great luck with it. Just keep it oiled and it will keep your guitar in tune. It does brighten up your tone slightly and it will be more noticeable if you have a maple fretboard. The biggest consideration is the fact that they only make a 1-11/16" version so the width of your neck will determine if you can use it or not.

WHat about the roller bridge? Anyone tried that crazy thing?

Yes, actually. I have a roller bridge on my Les Paul. I always broke strings with the tuno-o-matic, so I replaced it with the Schaller roller version.

Sorry...I'm not a guitar player, so maybe I shouldn't post here, but I just had to say I got a much needed laugh when I opened up this thread & saw the opening line "Does anyone have a roller nut..."!

Wow Jef, never tried any of the roller gear, might look in to it, as I break strings a bit with the tunomatic on Les Pauls etc, you sound u are quite knowleged in them. Cheers I am just an old traditionalist.

Thanks, Jeff. I've got Les Pauls and an Explorer, and the only strings I break have been on there for too long. I simply like how that Schaller Roller bridge looks. Ha-hah! Seems like it might be easier to "get at" for intuning than a Tune-O-Matic, too. . . some how. I don't know.
