Postby dillivered » Tue Jan 04, 2011 9:20 pm

Does Jake offer his solo release a fine pink mist or is the only option ebay or amazon for $50+ ? I'd rather give Jake the $$

What a silly Price!
They're often on UK Ebay for less than $10!

JAKE E. LEE's - A Fine Pink Mist is a must own for every da Oga fan and hope you will find it at a more resonable price (that goes for any vintage Cd from a master musicians or bands)...'I paid no more then $18 dollars when I purchased my 'Pink Mist but that was sometime ago. It's a groovin' treasure keepsake & highly acclaim music works from Mr. Lee that's for sure. The Rebel legend did a excellent music works on that album it shows JAKE's incrediable growth/strength from what he'd learned/brought into from his early-Classic music days with his BADLANDS & OZZY Band. Great Sci-fi, Funk, Heavy Rock & Bayou masterpiece it is. So, hope you will be able to find, dellivered at a reasonable price cost it's a vintage treasure to own JAKE E. LEE's - A Fine Pink Mist Classic Cd recording. :D

I think it is out of print, so it will probably cost you a pretty penny. Even on Amazon they are $30 - $60.

They Do go Cheap on UK ebay...(if you look at past posts I always have put a Link up 2 or 3 times) but are few and far between ...so SRV your attempt at sarcasm is wasted..
You could always get Someone to burn you a Copy until one turns up at a reasonable price!

In this age of iTunes and Amazon MP3 downloads, I admit to scratching my head over why anything is allowed to go "out of print" these days.

Someone has to own the rights and if I did, I know I'd want to leverage that property to make money.

My only guess is that one company doesn't own worldwide rights. Can't recall who put out Mist in Japan (Pony Canyon?), but perhaps a company's ability to only release in one country is the cause.

Otherwise, digitize it, avoid the packaging costs, and start making money. If you don't leverage your property you're just losing out as people find it through illegal download sites.

Lost, I quit @ $33 + shipping - I'll get one some day... too bad Jake didn't make it available. The industry is a sham! Suppose the japs have it locked down and the U.S release never happened...

You'll get one don't worry. Just keep on top of it & some crazy bargain will surface. I got an ex promo copy, perfect condition, as a birthday gift this last Dec from work colleagues & when I was worried they'd spent too much they genuinely looked sheepish & said it was ridiculously cheap - under £10 I think!

This was just one part of my surprise Jake E Lee birthday sprung on me at work. It was rather nice I can tell ya!! :o

Apparently I would've had a Jake cake but the shop wouldn't use the pic, copyright blah, blah, blah, but just knowing my friends had thought of doing it was more than enough. :D

Had a lovely selection of cards printed up no problem so "Up Yours cake shop!!" :P

It was so unexpected.....So they do listen to me after all! :o Who'da thunk it!? 8O
