How so very cool that the some of the music tracks from the JAKE E. LEE Tribute "Rock N Roll Rebel" CD Project is on youtube. Nice surprise and still very much looking forward to the Tribute release on Mr. Lee. The guys put alot of Heart N Soul paying homage to JAKE's Classic's...'be nice to see it release in Record stores and online. Much respects and thanks for sharing.

this cover shows what a great tight band can do.....this cover lacks any of the swing and soul of the original (imo) and to me sounds pretty awful, which I know is unfair considering how it was put together. Shows what a great team jake, eric and greg were (and of coarse ray...but i'm talking more music here)

I played the guitar and bass for this and a few other tracks on the Tribute project and was amazed to see this link posted as the last I knew this cover didn't have a vocal attached to it. A lot of work went into recording and collating the work by Jimi, not to mention the many artists/fans who wanted to somehow say "thank you" to Jake for inspiring them. There were some fantastic renditions of his songs submitted by some seriously talented musos. It is a shame these recordings may not get heard by those who are fellow fans and take the project in the spirit it was intended...and some would just focus on putting down the players instead. Anyway, I just wanted to share that my impression, while working with Jimi, Dave, Myles, etc was that we were working together to pay tribute with no ulterior motives.
