Yep, our bassist did that 2 years ago. Dumbass. Here's the RD version.

We played a club in Ea. Wa that also houses local and national act. Lynch Mob played there, LA Guns, etc. Anyhoo, we got a Thurs gig with another act, had all our fams/friends out, decent showing, and did well. To celebrate our gig b/f hand, pooled our monies together, and rented a limo for a night so we'd feel like "real" rock stars. Just for fun. And our bassist just "had to" drive his own rig back home, even tho he was loaded. Grr..

I had fun, drank for free along with the drummer/singer, some friends, had a great time, and woke up next day with a phone call from Bassist's wife saying he got nailed for a DUI.

Yes, fretty, flakos can either be a source of entertainment or misery in a band situtation. I like that, "Fretty", a nickname of sorts. All GOOD!!!
BTW, he's now abstained from D/Drv'g. NEVER would stop drinking; just slowed down and doesn't Drnk/Drv. He's now a reg. church goer. It helps HIM! And plays out some wkends, gigging.

It's interesting how many people get DUI's. I got one way back in '93. Cost so much money to take care of that one...$8,000.00 I gave up drinking...wasn't worth it! Now only a beer or 2 or a glass o' wine at dinner with the folks.
