Re: it continues
I wasn't complaining - go back and read my first post. I said before listening to II "get it out of your head that there would ever be another mindcrime". And, who have I insulted?! Nobody. We all can see how mature you are from your last two posts and if I continue I WILL begin to insult, and it won't be mild. This needs to go no further. It's not worth getting kicked off the board for so we should probably keep our distance from one another.

Dude, bring it, don't sing it.

Maybe we should start an insult thread.

Dean, it's cool. I'm trying to be happy. It's settled.

I never understood the fuzz about Queensryche. I downloaded Operation Mindcrime last week. And allthough I thought that all the songs were well composed, nothing really stuck in my head. In fact I listen OM fairly long and I can't remember one single riff, melody line or a piece or lyric!

Hmmm....sounds like a personal problem to me. Funny, they are one of the few metal bands that have actually been recognized by the mainstream.

Re: it continues
Well, I've not been on the board here over the weekend due to being away. It looks like I've missed a heated debate!
Doobie, nothing personal towards you if you enjoy it. Ryche on! The point that I'm trying to make is, don't make a sequel to an album if you don't expect people to compare it to the original! Helloween has recently made the same mistake by the way. Your comment towards people like me that don't like it, saying we're holding onto the first.......well, of course we are! It's one of the best rock releases of all time. Have you let go of the first one? Maybe you shouldn't, because it's a great album!
Mr. Metal - You're right, it lacks power amongst other things!
I'm guessing that you think something similar. If I recall correctly, I believe you grew bored with it, tossed it aside, and put in some Evergrey recently in one of your post.
Excitable and Olaf - Thanks for getting my back!
I was feelin' a little hot over the weekend, like I was getting roasted!

Your comment`s are pretty harsh. It took me 10 listen`s to get me going
on that album.Straight out opinion is that it`s good...not great but, good.
The lyrics are music are complex. The average listener cannot process
the musical information on either of those albums. Are they mundane,
flat,or average?....or the new album?...I`d say NO.
I use to play alot for progressive rock and metal many years ago.I
appreciate the effort put into the album. It was probably a nightmare
putting it together.Did we forget they influenced the whole progressive
metal scene?Let`s have a little respect for for these gentlemen.
I respect your opinion P&M and everybody else`s...thought i should
speak up.

Dr. Shredder, exactly what do you suggest that I'd do about my lack of understanding of the complex lyrics that are behind the complex story of both Mindcrime albums from the complex band, Queensryche?

Wow, that's a heck of run on sentence there Poets!

Did I say I was getting bored with it? I am too lazy to go look up my post. I did throw it aside because the new Evegrey is so good, I can't stop listening to it. I will admit, it did take a few spins to get into it, but I think it is a good album and keep pulling it out evey other day or so. So I don't think I am too bored with it.

Yeah, something along those lines anyway. I actually bought the Queensryche OMII the first day it came out, so I'm not totally boycotting the band here. It's just okay for me (doing my Randy Jackson) dog.

Whatever, who cares, right? If a person enjoys it great, if you don't....well, great.

Hey madman,
Dr .Shredder say`s to invite Tera Patrick and Jenna Jameson over
your house and service you.Tell me your opinion how that would turn out?
To answer your question about your "lack of understanding"...that was`nt
implied tword`s you.....it was the general listening audience who are non
musucian`s who don`t get either album.
And to the other guy who asked how the album is complex?Try putting
something like that together or better yet,let me hear your original
compositions.
We can all debate like mature adults here....In the end...it`s just our
own opinion`s and it does`nt have to mean a thing.
Have a nice day and take care everyone.

So, do you have to be a musician to understand the Mindcrime set?
BTW, I have no idea what you're talking about with two ladies names that you tossed in?

What's up Shredder? Is this a trick question?
