I'm more familiar with Hard Rock/Blues Guitarist Gary Moore music yet I have heard of both legendary musicians before Moore & John Sykes. Much respects!

I'm pretty sure John Sykes is what turned me into a metal head to begin with! At least the Whitesnake 1987 s/t album was the first full-length album I owned, and IT OWNED! \nn/ Killer riffs through and through and still holds up against any other metal classic out there IMO.

Yep, I agree. Sykes is right there with the greats. You can always tell when an albums gonna be an instant classic when you walk into a Guitar Center store shortly after an albums release and all you hear is the riff to one of the songs. In Syke's case it was "In the Still of the Night"! Everyone was playin' that riff! All at the same time! LOL  ! F**kin' awesome! :D

A few "Guitar Center Classics":

1) Smoke on the Water.......Blackmore

2) Stairway to Heaven.........Page

3) Eruption...........................Van Halen

4) Crazy Train....................Rhoads

5) In the Still of the Night.....Sykes

Lots more, but you get the idea. 8)

That would have been something to see. I am not sure, but didn't Sykes and Moore only appear on stage together for that one reunion show that become the Live - Life album?
